Heath Ledger

"Thank you. I’m very, very proud of this. Thank you so much for giving it to me. And I’m very proud to be included in that group of wonderful actors this year.

You know, for as long as I can remember, the thing that gave me a sense of wonderment, of renewal, the thing that teased me with the question, how is such a thing possible, and then dare you to go back into the arena of one more time, with longing and self-doubt, jostling in the balance. It’s always been the work of other actors, and there are many actors in this room tonight, including my fellow nominees who have given that sense of regeneration and…

Heath Ledger gave it to me. In “Monster’s Ball,” that character that he created, it seemed to be almost like an unformed being, retreating from themselves, retreating from his father, from his life, even retreating from us, and yet we wanted to follow him, and yet we’re scared to follow him almost. It was unique. And then, of course, in “Brokeback Mountain,” he was unique, he was perfect. And that scene in the trailer at the end of the film is as moving as anything that I think I’ve ever seen. And I’d like to dedicate this to Heath Ledger. So, thank you very much. Thank you so much.

Cate the Great繼金球獎又獲主角配角double nominations......

Go Go Ruby!!!

Ryan Gosling真的走紅了, 去年有《Half Nelson》, 今年有《Lars and the Real Girl》！

《No Country of Old Men》以"拋離"姿勢在最佳電影、最佳導演及最佳男配角暫時領先；男主角方面Daniel Day-Lewis亦跟最強對手George Clooney開始有明顯距離；女主角及女配角兩獎, 仍是60年代Film Legend---Julie Christie及廣獲好評的Amy Ryan暫時走勢最強......

(3): The Real Candidates

Wow, 金球獎2008提名.....Amy Adams, Nikki Blonsky, John Travolta, Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, Keira Knightley, Tim Burton, Marion Cotillard......

(Drama)
"American Gangster", "Atonement", "Eastern Promises", "The Great Debaters", "Michael Clayton", "No Country for Old Men", "There Will Be Blood"
"Atonement"總數有7項提名成大熱, "No Country for Old Men"及"There Will Be Blood"卻橫掃影評人獎.....

(Musical or Comedy)
"Across the Universe", "Charlie Wilson's War", "Hairspray", "Juno", "Sweeney Todd"
Little Miss Sunshine".....

Tim Burton, "Sweeney Todd"; Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, "No Country for Old Men"; Julian Schnabel, "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly"; Ridley Scott, "American Gangster"; Joe Wright, "Atonement"

Diablo Cody, "Juno"; Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, "No Country for Old Men"; Christopher Hampton, "Atonement"; Ronald Harwood, "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly"; Aaron Sorkin, "Charlie Wilson's War"
Diablo Cody

(Drama)
Cate Blanchett, "Elizabeth: The Golden Age"; Julie Christie, "Away From Her"; Jodie Foster, "The Brave One"; Angelina Jolie, "A Mighty Heart"; Keira Knightley, "Atonement"

(Drama)
George Clooney, "Michael Clayton"; Daniel Day-Lewis, "There Will Be Blood"; James McAvoy, "Atonement"; Viggo Mortensen, "Eastern Promises"; Denzel Washington, "American Gangster"
Daniel Day-Lewis......

(Musical or Comedy)
Amy Adams, "Enchanted"; Nikki Blonsky, "Hairspray"; Helena Bonham Carter, "Sweeney Todd"; Marion Cotillard, "La Vie En Rose"; Ellen Page, "Juno"

(Musical or Comedy)
Johnny Depp, "Sweeney Todd"; Ryan Gosling, "Lars and the Real Girl"; Tom Hanks, "Charlie Wilson's War"; Philip Seymour Hoffman, "The Savages"; John C. Reilly, "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story"

Cate Blanchett, "I'm Not There"; Julia Roberts, "Charlie Wilson's War"; Saoirse Ronan, "Atonement"; Amy Ryan, "Gone Baby Gone"; Tilda Swinton, "Michael Clayton"

Casey Affleck, "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford"; Javier Bardem, "No Country for Old Men"; Philip Seymour Hoffman, "Charlie Wilson's War"; John Travolta, "Hairspray"; Tom Wilkinson, "Michael Clayton"

"4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days"羅馬尼亞; "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly 潛水鐘與蝴蝶"法國/美國; "The Kite Runner"美國; "Lust, Caution 色.

"Bee Movie", "Ratatouille", "The Simpsons Movie"

"Into the Wild", "Grace Is Gone", "The Kite Runner", "Atonement", "Eastern Promises"

"Despedida" from "Love in the Time of Cholera"; "Grace Is Gone" from "Grace Is Gone"; "Guaranteed" from "Into the Wild"; "That's How You Know" from "Enchanted"; "Walk Hard" from "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story."
很可惜沒有"Hairspray"的"Come So Far", 那我全力支持"Enchanted"的"That's How You Know"吧!!!!!!!

Bjork/《Dancer in the Dark》角逐的是"劇情片"女主角......當然《Dancer in the Dark》不是一套喜劇, 但她不是一部Musical嗎？又如《Sleepless in Seattle》、《Lost in Translation》《Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind》、《Life is Beautiful》等等俱喜劇原素在內的劇情片作品, 亦是處於灰色地帶, 曾惹來爭議。

Charlie Wilson's War," "The Savages," "Margot at the Wedding," "Juno," "Darjeeling Limited," "Waitress" and "Lars and the Real Girl"......

Amy Adams(Enchanted), Nicole Kidman(Margot at the Wedding), Laura Linney(The Savages), Nikki Blonksy(Hairspray), Ellen Page(Juno), Keri Russell(The Waitress), Helena Bonham Carter(Sweeney Todd), Katherine Heigl(Knocked Up)等9位出色演出的女主角會角逐5-6個提名名額, 而其中應有2-4位是相當有實力可以直闖奧斯卡紅地毯的, 比起過往通常只有1或0位女主角能角逐此獎又能問鼎小金人...... wow, 今年顯得格外精彩！

12th Golden Satellite Nominations!!!

Golden Satellite Awards

《Hairspray》的"Come So Far"有Original Song提名... wow!!! 《Into the Wild》及《Once》也能入選...wow!!!

2008 Indie Spirit Awards

關於金球獎, 本年度她的一大特色, 將會是Best Picture(Musical or Comedy)會出現大混戰。

金球獎一向喜歡Musical, 基本上有Musical提名Best Picture(Musical or Comedy)便很大機會獲獎, 過往15年得獎的Musical包括《Beauty and the Beast》、《The Lion King》、《Moulin Rouge!》、《Chicago》、《Dreamgirls》, 其中有三部也有提名Oscar BP。

但因近年金球獎學習奧斯卡, 增設了Best Animated Feature一獎, 投票會員有可能只會把她們安置在後者, 不能跟《Beauty and the Beast》及《The Lion King》一樣得到相同待遇。

BIFA: "Control" 10

提名最佳獨立電影的還有剛於英國電影節放映(我miss了)的《Hallam Foe 偷窺者哈藍》, 在港direct to vcd的《Notes on a Scandal 醜聞筆記》, David Cronenberg繼《The End of Violence》後、在英美絕讚上映中的新作《Eastern Promises》, 及父子情絕症片《And When Did You Last See Your Father?》。

提名外國獨立電影獎的五套中看過三部, 《Black Book 黑色名冊》、《La Vie en Rose 粉紅色的一生》及《The Lives of Others 竊聽者》......

Judi Dench, Cate Blanchett, Jim Broadbent, Jamie Bell, Anne Hathaway, Viggo Mortensen, Cillian Murphy, Colin Firth, Armin Muehler Stahl, Samantha Morton......

No.8 : Julia Roberts

Tom Hanks, Gary Marshall, Bruce Willis, Macia Gay Harden, Natalie Portman, Shirley MacLaine, Sally Field, Denzel Washington, Blair Underwood, David Letterman, Richard Gere, George Clooney......

謝過全村人及大會後, Julia Roberts在致謝詞上說到: "more than anything I'm just the most proud wife and mother to three beautiful children." ......

Charlie Wilson's War Trailer

當年Entertainment Weekly的其中一期以她作封面, 標題是"You Completed Us!" , 內文中又對她說: "You keep on smiling, we keep on buying." ......

除了Oscar Hopeful《Charlie Wilson's War》外, 08年還有《Fireflies in the Garden》(imdb)及《The Friday Night Knitting Club》(imdb)。

You keep on smiling , we keep on buying!

John Travolta
