Why Him?
Joe Pesci前一年憑《Goodfellas》提名(後一年又憑《JFK》第三度提名), 這一年憑《寶貝智多星》怪盜二人組阿頭這個喜劇角色勝出, 是一個補償, 是我對《寶貝智多星》的喜愛, 是其他對手也弱...... 同年提名還有剛離世的Ron Silver。

Why Him?
《A Few Good Men》的法庭戲精彩至極, 一句"You can't handle the truth!"Jack Nicholson贏晒!...... Robin Williams在《阿拉丁》的極速變幻二十面相燈神Genie聲演一流, 雖不見其貌也難以忽略。

Why Him?
《禮儀師之奏嗚曲》奪本屆日本金像獎3個演員獎, 1996年的《Shall We Dance?》更厲害橫掃所有4個演技獎項....其中竹中直人的爆笑演出, 畢生難忘。

Why Him?
Julia Roberts重震聲威之作, 亦令Rupert Everett復活了一陣子。作為要誓要壞人婚事女子的基佬好友, Rupert Everett有型有風度, 最後出現的安慰舞, 特別感人。同年Kevin Spacey連續三年角逐失敗。

Why Him?
Benicio Del Toro在《毒網》這部英語電影中接近全程西班牙語演出, 又是魅力非凡。沉靜的警察, 一幕殺與不殺, 演技精彩無比。把當年十分喜愛的Jim Broadbent也撀退了。

令電影彌漫著心寒感的必是飾演像極披著披頭四髮型的殺手Anton Chigurh的Javier Bardem, 由他在電影開首不久首度被捕出場後, 不論他是否在螢幕上出現, 他的影子還是盤旋於任何角度的空氣中。
